How is it called in German?
“Radieschen” is the German word for a small red, round radish.
This German style radish salad is a great companian to almost every dish not matter if you serve fish, meat or a vegetarian entree. I makes also a perfect side for barbecues and potlucks.
The light vinegeraitte makes it a great choice for health concious people.
- 15 red radishes
- 1 tbsp. red wine vinegar
- 2 tbsp. vegetable oil
- 1/2 tsp. coarse pepper
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 pinch sugar
- 2 tbsp. green onions
- In a medium bowl, combine vinegar, oil, sugar, salt and pepper.
- Trim and slice radishes thinly.
- Add radishes to vinaigrette and toss.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
