“Radi” is the Bavarian name for “Rettich”, which is the german word for a Daikon radish.
Beer Radish is named not because of beer, but because it is a traditional starter with a mug of beer.
Servings: 2 -4 portions
- 1 Daikon radish
- 1-2 tbsp. coarse salt
- 1/2 tsp. coarse pepper
- Peel the radish.
- Use spiral cutter according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- Place on a plate, sprinkle generously with salt and allow to rest for about 30 minutes.
- Remove water and sprinkle radish with fresh ground pepper (optional).
A perfect starter with a mug of Oktoberfest beer and a fresh homemade Bavarian pretzel.
