German Bread Spice Blend
Learn how to make a German bread spice blend, which you can use for a lot of different German bread recipes. It is easy to make and you can store it in an airtight container for at least one year.
Servings: 8 Tbsp.
- 4 tsp. fennel seeds
- 4 tbsp. caraway seeds
- 4 tsp. anise
- 4 tsp. coriander seeds
- Add all seeds to a bowl and blend.
- Then grind them in a spice or coffee grinder or with a mortar and pestle.
- Add to an airtight container and store in a dry and dark space.
Tip: Depending on whether you want a stronger or slightly minder bread, 1 to 2 tablespoons of the finished mixture is enough for a bread dough containing 500g of flour.
