    German Drink Recipes

Tip: Scroll down to see the German drinks recipe overview!

If you think of German drinks, the first thing that usually comes to mind is beer. After all, Germany is famous for its 25 different beer styles and almost 6000 different beers!

    German Beer

However, did you know there are also great beer mixers that originated in Germany? These mixers such as Diesel, a cola and beer mixer or Radler are hugely popular around the world. From festivals to parties, these German drinks are a surefire way to add some excitement to your event.

When it comes to a delicious drink, nothing quite beats beer. For those looking to take their beer drinking experience to the next level, there are plenty of great options out there like Glühbier (aka mulled beer) or one of the many different variations of wheat beer punch. Whether you're in the mood for something sweet, fruity, or just plain old classic, these wonderful beer cocktails offer something for everyone.

    German Wine & Sekt

Germans are often seen as a nation who only loves beer but there is so much more to their drinking culture than that! If you had the impression that Germans only drank beer, think again! Germans are passionate about wine, Sekt (sparkling wine) and one of their favorites is a fruity Bowle.

    Hot Drinks

Germany has also a rich culture of hot beverage specialties. One of the country's most popular cultural contributions is its delicious variety of hot drinks - from Rüdesheimer coffee to Friesian tea, Pharisee coffee, decadent German hot chocolate and the ever popular mulled wine Glühwein specialties. These hot drinks are not only incredibly tasty but also have an interesting history behind them.

    Other German Drinks

Germans are known for their love of liqueur and schnapps specialties! From Eierlikör, a traditional German egg liqueur, to Strawberry Limes, and Obstler, the flavor combinations available in these types of alcoholic beverages are seemingly endless. Whether you're looking for something sweet or something herbal, there's certainly something for every taste.
